Problems and Pearls

A fellow had just been hired as the CEO of a large high tech corporation. The CEO who was stepping down met with him privately and presented him with three number envelopes. "Open these if you run up against a problem you don't think you can solve." he said.

Well, things went along pretty smoothly, but six months later, sales took a downturn and he was really catching a lot of heat. Almost at his wit's end, he remembered the envelopes. He went to his drawer and took out the first envelopes. The message read, "Blame your predecessor." The new CEO called a press conference and tactfully laid the blame at the feet of the previous CEO. Satisfied with comments, the press responded positively, sales began to pick up and the problem was soon behind him.

About a year later, the company was again experiencing a slight dip in sales, combined with serious produced problems. Having learning from his previous experience, the CEO quickly opened the second envelope. The message read, "Reorganize." This he did, and the company quickly rebounded.

After consecutive profitable quarters, the company once again fell on difficult times. The CEO went to his office, closed the door and opened the third envelope. The message said, "Prepare three envelopes."

Sometimes there are difficulties in life that we can handle, but there is hardship that can onle be dealt with bu allowing others to carry it with you.

If you are carrying some burdens in life that weigh you down and you done all you can to fix it to no avail, maybe, you haven't tried everything?

Maybe you haven't tried surrendering it to God.

Here at the Feast today, learn that He carries your burdens for you.

Surrender your problems to God and allow Him to turn them to pearls.

The Living Grow; The Dying Do Not

Many great things have happened in our Feast Alabang.

Miracles, answered prayers, physical and spiritual healing, restored relationships, and many more manifestations of the Holy Spirit. These are indications that we are alive.

I believe that if people are truly growing in their faint, they will give, they will serve, they will invite their friends, they will tell people about Jesus, they will live on mission-all of which leads to some level of numerical growth as God works through His people.

And because God is working mightily through Feast Alabang, I am proud to announce to the world that we are opening our 4th session. It will be called iFEAST4. It will be as young and dynamic as its Feast Builder, J. Yogawin.

This will start on June 15, 2011 (A good day to start a new life as it also happens to be my birthday).

Let us grow this Feast together.

Invite your friends and family to our new Wednesday Feast.

God be with you.

We Will Win

During the planning stage for the Feasts everywhere, we, the leaders, asked vital questions that will determine our direction.

The first question we asked was, “What do we want people to become?” In other words, what specific result do we want from our efforts? And our answer to that is – to make disciples of Jesus. What does this mean? It simply means that it is our goal that all of us will become like Jesus in words, thoughts, and action.

Answering this first query gave us clarity of mission.

The second question we asked is, “What do we want people to do?” In other words, how are people going to become what we want them to become? Our answer: “We would like people to love God, love others and bless the world.” We want people who come to the Feast to follow the two greatest commandments – love God and love neighbor. With this, he then becomes a blessing to the world.

Answering this second question gave us the key to spiritual maturity.

The third essential question we asked is, “Where do we want people to go?” And responding to this allows us to determine our success as a Feast - our “Win”. The feast is successful if we achieve this ‘win.’ It is neither the number of Feast attendees nor of the sessions of the Feast. Our ‘win’ is determined by how many of the Feast attendees are part of the caring groups.

We want to win with you my dear friend. Join a caring group! Reap the blessings it has to offer.

We designed each quarter to be very interesting and enriching for each of you. We are opening a lot of groups this season for your convenience.

Again, I encourage you to feel the love of Jesus in the Feast Alabang family through deeper, meaningful, unforgettable moments - join a caring group today!

Help us all win!

Be Ready To Be Surprised!

Hello,

This is an excerpt from my bestselling book "Enjoy God's Best for Your Life."

God likes secrets.

He kept a secret from Abraham, then gave him a son. He kept  a  secret  from  Jacob,  then  reconciled  him  to  his  son, Joseph. He kept a secret from Joseph, but eventually made him a  governor  of  Egypt,  enabling  him  to  save  his  family  from famine. He kept a secret from Moses, then ordered him to set his people free.

He kept a secret from the Israelites, then saved them from slavery.  He kept a secret from David, then made him a king. He kept a secret from Daniel, then revealed to him the meaning of visions and dreams. He kept a secret from Peter, then made him a fisher of men. He kept a secret from Paul, and made him an apostle to the Gentiles.

God  might  be  keeping  a  secret  from  you,  a  solution  to  a problem, an unanswered prayer, healing, or blessing. He keeps secrets.  He  likes  the  drama  of  it  all,  sometimes.  He  keeps secrets so we can grow in trusting Him, for He knows what he is doing with our lives.

Another  reason  why  God  likes  secrets?  Because  He  loves surprises.

Is he keeping anything from you? Get ready to be surprised!

Enjoy the God of surprises.
