Translate Jesus to your situation

When I wake up each morning, I have a favorite prayer. I say, “Lord, I want to be Jesus to someone today.”
My lofty goal is to think like Jesus, to speak like Jesus, and to act like Jesus.
Don’t be too impressed.

I’ve not been very successful.
But it doesn’t matter. I’ll keep on trying.

Obviously, I can’t become a carpenter, talk Aramaic and Hebrew, grow a beard, and start multiplying bread every time I see a crowd.

First of all, no matter how hard I try, I can’t grow a beard. I’m not hairy enough.
And second, I tried to be a carpenter and I hammered my thumbs too often. And I love my thumbs.
Just kidding.

Here’s the big question for today: How can you be Jesus in your specific situation?
As a manager. As a husband. As a student. As a saleslady.
How can you love as Jesus loved where you are?

You need to translate Jesus to your specific situation.
Today, God will give you a powerful message.
Open your heart and receive His abundance.
