Curse-Filled Relationships Are Always Idolatrous

Last week, I said that a Curse-Filled relationship is always about CONTROL.

Because we want the other person to meet our deepest needs (something God never intended), we try to control the other person.   Our message to the others person boils down to this statement: “Perform!”  When the other person doesn’t deliver the behaviors that we seek, we start controlling.  We use anger, shouting, domineering, nagging, emotional manipulation, shame, guilt-trips, silent treatments…

Why do we do that?

Because we’ve made other people gods.

We’ve made other people idols.

I repeat what I said last week: We seek from people what we should seek from God.

In today’s Feast, I’ll talk more about Idolatry—and why these relationships are cursed.  Not only idolatry, but we have other forms of adultery happening too.

But that’s not God’s plan for your life.

God wants to bring Grace into our families and friendships.

Let’s learn how…
Have a fantastic Feast today!

May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez
