Two months ago, I flew to
Vietnam.
I checked in my luggage at
the airport. I asked the lady, “Please
put a Fragile tag.”
“Yes,” she said. After tying the Fragile tag on the handle, she threw down my bag on the conveyor
belt with a loud BANG!
I cringed. The Fragile
tag meant nothing to her.
In the same way, when we
trust people, we give our naked hearts to them—wearing no armor. Many times, they don’t know we’re
fragile. Because we look so strong. (We’re great pretenders; We fool a lot of
people. But in truth, the bullies of the
world are the most wounded people in the world.
All that aggression is but a camouflage.) And so we get hurt by careless people.
We hear people tell us (again
and again), “If you don’t perform, I won’t like you anymore.” Over time, we forget the glorious brilliance
of God’s image within us.
If you carry inner wounds
today, I urge you to receive the only salve that can heal you—Drown yourself in
Amazing Grace!
Amazing Grace that accepts
you as you are.
Amazing Grace that forgives
you, frees you, flourishes you.
Amazing Grace that celebrates
who you really are.
Have a fantastic Feast today!
May your dreams come true,
Bo Sanchez
May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous
love; and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should,
how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to
experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never
see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at least you will be filled up with
God Himself.
