Daniel: A Man of Commitment

Commitment is most difficult and most readily proven during tough times. In  the story of Daniel, the second hero in our series, we see the importance of staying true to our commitments no matter what.

Daniel had to choose between catching the ire of the King he served and displeasing the God he loved. When the king issued a decree that ran contrary to his faith, he chose to honor his commitment to God. In return, God kept His commitment to save Daniel from the mouths of lions.

Daniel proved that paying the price that commitment commands has payoffs worth the cost - a reputation for integrity and, even more important, the faithfulness of God to do the impossible and unimaginable.

Today we will all be blessed by our very own Bro Jan Silan. As he talks about Daniel, it is my prayer that through this zealous mouthpiece of God, we will all be convinced that ultimately commitment is far better than compromise.
